Stephen and Lauren Ray live as Missionaries in the greater Orlando Area. Stephen works as a speaker and teacher of the Bible for Emmuas Ministries and Lauren works as a nurse. The Rays are committed to seeing people transformed by the Gospel through God’s living word.
The Ministry we have been given is to advance the Gospel in the hearts of students, whether it be Grace Oviedo’s high school students, the students of the Emmaus’ school of Biblical Studies or summer camp/retreats.
We believe that true transformation comes from radically meeting Jesus in the pages of his Word. That is why Stephen has committed his life to teaching people how to engage the Bible using Inductive Bible Study.
Stephen teaches as a missionary for Emmaus Ministries.

Stephen Ray gave the lecture through Jonah. A story which I formerly knew as a man who lived inside the belly of a whale was suddenly unfolding as a drama. of an Angry Man in service to the God he hopes in, holding the traumas inflicted of his youth, as God asks him to bring hope to the people group Jonah hates. Suddenly the Old Testament went from a dull, monochromatic reading and exploded into techno-color. I was having a visceral reaction to reading the Scripture.
It would not be the first time I would engage the texts and come into that Holy Space during my time in Emmaus, and it wasn’t the only time with Stephen Ray as my lecturer, teacher and friend would guide us there. Stephen teaches the Bible through vulnerability, submission, and in pursuit of obedience to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Learning to engage the Bible this way continues to transform my life. And my is to take this blessing and to share it with others. .
